Switching to Energy-Efficient Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs

In one of my other articles, I talked about how switching out my old, hot traditional light bulbs with energy-efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs was my first real “green” move.

If you’re still using traditional light bulbs, I’d recommend making the switch right now.

Here’s a great tip. When I did it, I made a mistake. I went to Lowes (and Home Depot) to buy my company fluorescent light bulbs. This was costly.

Today, you can save at least 50% of the cost by simply buying CFLs at Amazon.com, which I’ve linked to below. Click that link right now and look around. You’ll see all the compact fluorescent light bulbs you need at awesome prices.

Here’s one simple example. A 4-pack of 23-Watt Mini Compact Fluorescent Spiral Bulbs (equivalent to a traditional 100-watt bulb) that would cost you at least $20 at any home improvement store, is just about $6 at Amazon.com. And when you order $25 or more, you get free shipping and no tax too.

Years ago, I paid a lot more for all my CFLs than you will today. There’s no reason to use traditional light bulbs. They don’t last as long. They give off way too much heat. And they use too much energy.

Click that link above and look around. I’d encourage you to make the switch today.
